VoIP

What is VoIP?

VoIP is an acronym for Voice Over Internet Protocol, or in more common terms phone service over the Internet. If you have a good internet connection you can have VoIP!

Can I keep my phone number?

If you are currently an RTC customer you can keep your number! If you're coming from another provider we will need to take a closer look.

Do I need a new phone?

Nope! You can use the phone you currently have. In most cases it's just a change inside our system that needs to be made. We might not even have to send anyone to your house!

Additional equipment needed?

RTC Fiber customers will not need any additional equipment for VoIP. Wireless Internet customers will need a small device called an ATA. Not sure if you're Fiber or Wireless? Ask one of our Customer Service Reps! We're happy to help.

Why switch?

VoIP is a non-regulated service which means we can offer it to you for less than a traditional phone service! RTC is now offering VoIP to Residential Customers. If you're interested in the service or would like to know more please call our office at 223-2191!
